me again..
this time is on my laptop.. fresh ubuntu 8.04.1 installation with ms win vista in the first partition.

$ uname -a
Linux Extensa-5210 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Fri Jul 11 23:41:49 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

i've tried several things (update-initramfs, edit and update-grub..) with no success!
.. waiting for root help! ^^
