Copy over both images to the same locations they're found on the root
file system and you'll get the same behaviour in initramfs as when the
system is finished booting. I don't know where firmware_helper looks
first, but as long as the behaviour is consistent, does it really matter?

That change won't affect people that upgrade from 6.06 LTS from current
to 6.06 LTS-next-update, nor people that upgrade from 6.06 LTS to
8.whatever LTS as long as it's changed there too.

But it will cause a regression when going from 6.06 to 7.04 though
unless it is changed there too, that's worth a thought I guess.
