Bug confirmed.

Sound stopped working after hibernation. Not back even after multiple reboots, re-installation of ALSA.

Compaq Presario V3100 series (V3133AU)

Kindly suggest what kind of more info will be helpful. Everyone here is confused and have termed it as "mysterious" because they did nothing in particular to get back or lose the sound system.
