I've got the same problem with a Realtek ALC861 on a Toshiba A7. I got it somehow fixed by doing this:
1. disable "full duplex" of "artsd" (full duplex sound still works)
2. unload/load the driver. This is done by
a) stopping the sl-modem b) stopping artsd c) unloading the module d) loading the module e) starting sl-modem f) starting artsd
I guess there is an easier way. I do also have
options snd-hda-intel model=auto
in my modprobe.d/alsa-base. With "position_fix=1" I do also get no sound from the mic.
