Since it's possible to edit /etc/security/limits.conf to get jack running with realtime privileges, it's not a necessity anymore, this bug could be closed.

Note: just add these to /etc/security/limits.conf:
@audio - rtprio 99
@audio - memlock 500000
@audio - nice -10
