I found instructions that provided a solution to the effects of the problem:
1. Reinstalled U7.04
2. webcam is OK
3. sudo modprobe dvb_core
4. sudo modprobe cx88_dvb

However in Dapper the DVB drivers and the webcam drivers compiled without problem. But as not necessary this is not actually a bug. TO BE CLOSED.
