I have the exact same problem, but in this case its the DVD Drive.

There is only one fstab entry, but it shows up as a mounted removable drive even when the DVD tray is empty.

When a CD/DVD is inserted, the mounted drive icon appears on the desktop, pointing to the same location (as it normally should).

When given the eject command via context menu to either one, both get ejected; the second one disappears but the first one stays on the desktop as a folder.
