if it can help : this bug doesn't appear with Fedora 8 and OpenSUSE 10.3. But it appears with Mandriva 2008.

Is it because of different versions of kernel ? or something else ?

with ubuntu Gutsy alternate CD, the boot sequence start with a message like this : ata_piix : invalide map (something i could not read, too quick)

Hope it will be resolved soon.
