I forgot to mention that I my issues with suspend on the Inspiron 6000 occur while using both the 8.37and 8.41 fglrx drivers on a Radeon Mobility X300 card.

If, however, I use the non-proprietary driver, suspend works flawlessly (so far - I have only tried it a few times).
