hey man i own a toshiba satellite m45 s265 and i had that same problem an for everyone that reads these post cause when i had the same problem y went through these forum! the simple solution is to add "pci=noacpi" to the boot commnad and sound will work perfectly !!! i suggest you try these out in other toshibas maybe it will work!!
