I kind of agree this seems kind of silly. Also, as this is a kernel driver bug, isn't this highly dependent on the version of the kernel you're running? I'm running the mainline kernel to get support for other features I want, so a fix on this version isn't going to help me all that much.

Submitting a bug just so it can be marked a duplicate seems silly.
