Comment 2 for bug 147500

Just discovered this same thing here when I noticed my knob was working on my dell keyboard.

Volume is at 100%, if I turn it up it sets the volume to 40%. It goes down smooth but any up action puts it at 40%. Also when it moves up and down it turns the bass control up and down.

The card is a SB Audigy2 using the emu10k1 module.

System is Kubuntu Hardy.

I set the global shortcuts in kmix too but whatever this is seems related to whatever the popup OSD for the volume display is possibly. Actually whatever that is I'd like to just disable it and use kmix even without an onscreen display.
