Hi!

I have Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with kernel 3.19.0-25 installed in a HP Probook 430 G3. When I finished the installation, the sound doesn't works.
I followed the Andy C instructions and it works. I didn't use the alsa_setup.sh script.
-I only put this lines in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
        options snd-hda-intel single_cmd=1
        options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1
        options snd-hda-intel model=basic

But when I reboot the laptop (not halt or poweroff), before Ubuntu starts, a very strong noise appears. At every reboot this noise appears.
-I corrected this problem, I just put the next line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
         options snd-hda-intel power_save=0

Now, I've updated the kernel to 3.19.0-47 and the strong noise appears again.
I've tried to solve adding another option to the file:
        options snd-hda-intel power_save_controller=N
But doesn't works....

I've read the kernel documentation pages about ALSA but I haven't find the solution
https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt
https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/sound/alsa/HD-Audio.txt

Has someone an idea to resolve this issue?
Thanks to all!
