As the test kernel with the backported Xenial fix
has been up for almost 2 months now, I'm submitting
the SRU for Xenial, although I have not received
feedback from original reporter or others.

Backported patch for Xenial varies slightly from the
cherry-picked patch for B, C.

My testing has been successful (see original testing
information in description).
