update on this is that bluetooth actually stopped working on the laptop the unbind fix was applied on.
so it was not a real fix if i wanted to use bluetooth.
anyway,
gave up on it and just mainly use windows on that laptop now after the ubuntu partition stopped working even after reformat/reinstall. failed most probably due to overheating issues (separate laptop issue). unable to enumerate error looks disruptive to the installation as well.
the laptop's days are numbered. unless a hardware fix is applied. probably later.
