Comment 8 for bug 720281

I have nearly the same issue on a System 76 Starling (star5), where the batter indicator just displayed "estimating..." indefinitely, however if I click on "estimating..." it brings me to the Power Statistics app, where it displays the amount of energy remaining just fine. I don't, however, have the suspend problem - my computer still suspends as it should.
