I have a similar problem with a Toshiba Tecra 8000 with WSS I/O Address 530H SB Pro I/O 220H Synthesiser I/O at 388H WSS and SBPro&MPU IRQ level IRQ5 WSS(PLay) DMA Channel 1 WSS (Record) & SBPro DMA Channel 0 Control i/o Address 538H MPU401 (Midi I/F) 330H
-lscpi -no sound card found However in Windows 2000 and XP and in Slackware Vector Linux 6 it works fine.
Have tried changing the BIOS from Software setting to Hardware with no change.
