Comment 50 for bug 347569

I regret not testing these changes more. They seem to increase hard lockups for 3D activity considerably. After updating the drivers and dri to the versions supplied by an independent ppa utilizing an updated driver from upstream, no lockups occur anymore. The ppa comes from here:
