I've got a work around...

Run the live CD, press alt+f2 and type:

gksu gedit /usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-prepare.py

Then on line 310, change "min_disk_size = size * 2" to "min_disk_size = size * 1.4"

Then run then Ubuntu installer.
