Not sure. We can explicitly check the permissions before showing the dialog. See the attached patch.

As noted, most other actions already do this - it's just that _do_new_auto_connection () decides on its own to create the dialog, even if the user doesn't have the right permissions.

Could someone test and review the patch? Turns out I do have one of those BTWifi-X things near me (whatever they are), so I was able to check that it seems OK for me. I can't cover all usecases though, for example I don't have one of those networks that I can connect to.
