Er, it's just a mockup I gimped using some other application's bars.

I have never seen anything like that anywhere else but the NM-applet. I have also noticed that, when using the Human GTK theme, the bars look "engraved" inside the menu instead of on top of it... not sure if I'm making it clear, please tell me if you don't get what I mean and I'll try to reelaborate.

The thing is, I haven't seen that "engraved" effect anywhere else either, so I'm quite sure they must be related.
