Since I wiped my keyrings, it works quite well. I discovered the following behaviour:

* Wenn the VPN connection works, no dialog is shown.
* Wenn connecting fails, an error dialog is displayed.
* The next time, the password/group password dialog is shown, but with the passwords already filled in. This could be to give the user a chance to change the password.
