After starting the VPN connection from Network manager I have the following in
"/etc/resolv.conf"

nameserver <openvpn-pushed-IP-address>

then, about 10 sec later, this changes to..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
search <dhcp-domain>
nameserver <local-dhcp-configured-nameserver>
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
