If I run nvidia-settings in Intrepid, the GPU thermal temperature rises to 60C before the fan cuts in, and cools it down to 50C. In Hardy, the fans cut in at 50C, and keeps cooling until it reaches 40C. So it runs 10C cooler in Hardy.
