I have already been done what you have said, but still the same. I cannot work well with spellcheck.

Install the dictionary for the language and country you are using for
documents. For example English (USA) or French (Canada). You can
 install
dictionaries by going to 'File->Wizards->Install new dictionaries' you
need make sure you have openoffice.org-base installed as well or it
 will
currently crash. The crash related bug will be fixed soon.
