These attachments show that openoffice does not seem to use the high contrast toolbar icons available on the system. Gedit, shown in front does use them, though several other applications only have partial coverage.
The problem becomes more evident when you select large fonts in the theme, as the icons remain small. The icons get bigger in all other apps (where supported) and in the panel menus.
