I think I found a solution to those that, like myself, use the auto login feature.

If I removed the auto login:
"System > Administration > Login Screen" , from
Log in automatically to
show the screen for choosing who will log in

Then I no longer have a problem problem and Plymouth works without freezing.

It looks like the login automatically & Plymouth have a problem somewhere.
