It's worth noting that the current KVM package (upstream v16) in feisty is based on qemu 0.9.0, and having qemu be an older version is going to cause some significant disk image incompatibilities between the two packages, resulting in some whinging and bug reports.

As one example, the new qcow2 disk format is required in the current KVM to support vm snapshots -- yet the qemu-img utility in the current qemu package is incapable of creating a qcow2 file. And if a qcow2 file is created for use with kvm, it will be unusable with the current 0.8.2 version of qemu.

On the other hand, the debian package is currently in experimental.

Overall, I think a UVFe for this is a good idea.
