This seems to only affect the armhf build. Upstream and help both show -I as valid. It works properly on the desktop as well, but throws the warning on phablet:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ qmlscene -I /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/qt5/bin/qmlscene: invalid option -- 'I'
That said, it appears the additional path is used during imports and the error message is not correct.
