Bug Description

Binary package hint: quik

As reported in bug #83343 the 2.6.12 series fail to boot in quik, with a different error than BootX (also they refuse to boot).
I also try with Dapper's 2.6.15 and Edgy's 2.6.17, both fail like the 2.6.12 with panic on mounting root fs.
The last kernel that I see booting in quik was the Hoary's 2.6.10.

Like I said in previous bug I want to help in this, I only need some instructions.
