Comment 6 for bug 1256695

I seem to still be experiencing this bug, both on Kubuntu desktop and on server. On both systems, none of the log files that rsyslog normally creates are created and all logging output is lost.

I can, however, work around the issue by creating the log files and chowning them to syslog:adm before starting rsyslog.
