Subject: shared-mime-info: Unable to install due to error: "undefined symbol: xmlSaveFormatFileEnc"

Package: shared-mime-info
Version: 0.15-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

I just upgraded from woody to testing, and when installing this package
I get the following error text:

 Setting up shared-mime-info (0.15-1) ...
Warning: program compiled against libxml 206 using older 203
        ***
        * Updating MIME database in /usr/share/mime...
        /usr/bin/update-mime-database: relocation error:
        /usr/bin/update-mime-database: undefined symbol:
        xmlSaveFormatFileEnc
        dpkg: error processing shared-mime-info (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit
        status 127

As a result I am unable to install several packages which depend,
directly or indirectly, on this package.
