Brian, thanks so much for accepting the SRU so quick! As it turns out, I was able to come up with a better, more complete fix, and upstream has accepted it a few days ago. For that reason, and after consulting with Robie, I am dropping the verification-* tags from this bug, and will prepare a new upload containing the fix I mentioned.

Ah, and I received a report from user saying that he would like this fix to land in Focal as well, so I will prepare an upload for it as well.
