experiencing this bug please build XCB and Xlib with the patches found

retest?

Josh can you or anyone else please post instructions on building xcb and xlib with these patches. I looked at the link, but it is not clear to me what has to be done. I am bit of a newbee.
 I need to solve this problem, but I do not know how to build these libs and none of the proposed workarounds work for me.
