Comment 7 for bug 120823

I followed the instructions to get a backtrace, it works I think but I'm completely new to such things, so please help me if I can do things better

the problem is that thunderbird always crashes, but no apport crash report is created, how can always a report be created???
when I start TB from terminal, sometimes some messages printed with ending "core dumped", sometimes it hangs and i had to kill the window

the backtrace is made from a crash report that I found in /var/crash, but I dont know exactly after what action it was created, but I think it could be either on open account settings or open a new/reply window

in my "normal mode" I had the following plugins installed: "Deutsches Wörterbuch 1.0.1"(german dict), "dictonary switcher 1.1.2",enigmail 0.95.2
