Hello there,

I've noticed that you have updated this bug to indicate that you're working on updating libti*/gfm/tilp to the latest stable release. On the Debian side, I had started doing that task as well, after obtaining permission from the current package maintainer, who will be orphaning his packages and transferring the maintainership to me.

I think that we should join our forces to streamline the package update process. :) Therefore, I'd like to know your plans on updating the packages Ubuntu side. On the Debian side, I'm rushing to get packages done in order to meet the deadline for the package freeze at the end of the month (June 30th). I'm pushing a new package in, TilEm, which uses the libti* libraries. I will be taking over the maintainer position for all of the previous maintainer's calculator related packages. (I'm not a Debian Maintainer or Debian Developer, so I will be looking for a sponsor in order to upload packages.) TiLP, GFM, and all of the libbti* related packages will be marked as "important" to reflect the important security and stability fixes that the update will bring. Hopefully this will allow the update to propagate faster. I'm merging Ubuntu's work with the packages, Debian's package, and the new update to make this all work. There are some fixes made to the Debian side (and consequently, need to be made Ubuntu side).

I think it would be more efficient to split up the package update work. Please let me know if you can help - I'd love to work with you to meet our deadlines.
