To install Gutsy do not mark the ntfs partition in the partition editor.
You can also successfully install Gutsy by running this command line from a terminal session "ubiquity
--no-migration-assistant".

Just don't mark, or name your NTFS or FAT32 partitions.
Th NTFS and FAT32 partitions should appear after installation reboot.

Same thing is happening with me, I have a windows XP ntfs partition and
the installation freezes after clicking "Next" at the migration
assistant. Using --debug did not get it past there, but the --no-
migration-assistant worked great.
