I've just done an installation using the final image. I proceeded by double-clicking on the "install Ubuntu" icon and chose the same options as previously.

The migration assistant selected no options (maybe it should from my old Hardy install; and I also have a Debian Testing one? However, it's been doing that all along, and as I don't want to migrate anything, I hadn't really paid attention to it - separate issue, anyway).

The installation completed successfully - no problems with unmountable partitions.
