so, if your account is working in another machine, I would check if you have these files:
nessita@ernst:~$ ls -l /etc/ssl/certs/UbuntuOne-Go_Daddy_C* -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1778 2011-02-23 19:42 /etc/ssl/certs/UbuntuOne-Go_Daddy_CA.pem -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1449 2011-02-23 19:42 /etc/ssl/certs/UbuntuOne-Go_Daddy_Class_2_CA.pem
in the computer you're having the SSL FAILED error. Thanks!
