Tapping and scrolling stopped working on my SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad after version xserver-xorg-input-synaptics_0.99.3-2ubuntu3_amd64.deb. So 0.99.3-2ubuntu4 is the first version it ceased to work.
The bug is still present in 1.1.0-0ubuntu1.
