 rle, xwd, vff, mcidas, vicar, pcx, gem, macpaint, xpm and xbm files. Can
 view images, put them on the root window, or dump them. Does a variety of
 processing, including: clipping, dithering, depth reduction, zoom,
 brightening/darkening and merging.
