Comment 1 for bug 389519

This issue was discussed 2 years ago. Started with

and then continued in April from

onwards. The agreement seems to be that it should be configurable by some agent in the user session. So, new protocol must defined.

Various issues must be considered, including:

* isolated CRTCs - not sharing any border with any other one

* overlapping CRTCs

* interaction with panning

* interaction with CRTC transforms

* interaction with multi pointer

All things considered, seems like real fun :-)
