Confirmed resolution my current maximum is 1680x1050 (which is the max on my monitor). I don't have hardware which can match the specs of the VGA adapter (1920 x 1440). An improvement I noticed was that I do not see any flicker. This driver seems to work well. Let's get automatic detection into xserver-xorg-core and we can close this bug and submit the new packages to Ubuntu's main repositories.
