FYI, I have a Geode GX based machine (Dectop) and using the latest xserver-xorg-video-geode driver from hardy-proposed (2.9.0-1ubuntu2.3) I get pretty much the same result as I did just by specifying Driver "amd" in xorg.conf before installing it. I get garbled video. Figured I'd mention it since I am not sure if anybody has been testing this for the GX.
