I've read somewhere in this thread that the new line in /proc/mtrr gets wiped out after a reboot (or X restart?). Do any of you have any advice on how to implement this fix so that it survives reboots?
I mean, it's always possible to have it user side, but there might be a better solution.
Also, is that really OK to add this *after* X is started, or would it benefit from being done before X is started?
