glob2 (0.8.22.dfsg-1) unstable; urgency=low
* New upstream release. Main changes are:
- New campaign system.
- Unified buttons height throughout the game. More coherent GUI. All
buttons are pixmaps.
- Improved Echo API and redesigned Nicowar AI.
- New building/unit editor.
- New script areas.
- New no-growth areas.
- Globulation 2 is translated to more languages (included Arabic).
- Balanced magic attacks.
- Minor features and bug fixes.
* The .dfsg.1 prefix is due to the unfortunate fact that I had to grab
manually maps and campaigns from the server, as they were not inside the
original tar.gz.
* debian/rules: Added patch/unpatch targets from quilt.
* debian/control: Added quilt and libfribidi-dev to Build-Depends.
* Added patches:
- 01_remove_home_directory_browsing: Isolated change for Debian bug
#408733.
- 02_gcc-4.3_fixes: Fix to compile Globulation 2 with GCC 4.3 (closes:
#417198). Thanks to Martin Michlmayr.
- 03_freedesktop_compliance: Fix to glob2.desktop in order to make it
compliant with freedesktop standards (closes: #401545). Thanks, Lukas
Fittl.
- 04_CXXFLAGS_abuse: Upstream forced to use -O3 -march=i686 as CXXFLAGS,
so I had to disable it.
- 05_remove_vorbis_useless_dependency: checklib sorted out a useless
direct dependency on libvorbis (in fact it is accesed through
libvorbis{file,enc}). Removed from configure.
* debian/glob2.6: Updated with current options. Specifically, help is
displayed with --help, not -h, and OpenGL renderer is disabled with -G,
not -t 0 (closes: #397748). -h is not "simply ignored", but on the
opposite is an abbreviation for 'high quality graphics'.
