Curl and its cognate C library are a prominent solution
to download content from the Web. WWW::Curl
is very close to the original C API, and while
WWW::Curl::Easy makes it easier, indeed, it is only
with and WWW::Curl::Simple that you want to use
the library for a quick'n'simple single-liner
to retrieve a remote page.
