Grep through mailboxes

 mboxgrep is a small utility that scans either standard Unix
 mailboxes, Gnus nnml or nnmh mailboxes, MH mailboxes or Maildirs,
 and displays messages matching a basic, extended, or
 Perl-compatible regular expression.
