Comment 13 for bug 855428

I've got the same issue. No non-ascii characters in my user profile and I'm running 64 Bit Windows 7 SP1.
The beta package was running fine and this broke when I tried to upgrade to the proper release for windows. Removing and reinstalling does nothing to improve the situation but when my PC boots up I have an ubuntuone sync daemon process that will chew up 50% + of the processor all day long and I must kill it manually in order to use the computer.
