It looks like the U1 team withdrew a previous v3 release as it was no longer available for a few weeks. It looks like v3 has be released again but once I had updated through Ubuntu one, I get exactly the same issues. I've also tried what Alexandre above, mentioned but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
